Trees, shrubs, and flowers planted in the road right-of-way are subject to removal.

Ohio Township Association report:
The Ohio Township Association has released a
report titled Local Democracy in Ohio - A Review of City,
Village, and Township Financial Performance by Size; By Wendell
Cox.
The report concluded that townships spend less, tax less and
incur less debt than other local governments in the same
population categories. Research summarized in the report
demonstrates townships are more accessible and responsive and
overall, are a vital component of local government in Ohio. You

McMackin Road Improvement Project
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Ohio Department of Transportation has informed us that
they will be putting in a left turn lane at the McMackin Road
intersection.
This project is funded, and they will be conducting public meetings
regarding the work to be done.
Update: 2/5/13
The start date has been determined and the project will go out to
bid in 2014 with construction begninning in 2015. Watch here for more

Regarding this project:
The
NORTHEAST OHIO AREAWIDE COORDINATING AGENCY (NOACA)
is
currently reviewing 31 proposed transportation projects
requesting federal funding for fiscal year 2013 and beyond.
NOACA is required by federal funding agencies to notify local
government agencies and impacted communities in the region about
these projects.
The McMackin Road Intersection Project is one of these
projects.

this proposed transportation improvement project. Please
notify them if you would like to
be added to their e-mail notification list for future updates.

The Township maintains 53 miles of Township roads, while the Lake County Engineers Office maintains about 67 miles of Township roads, along with the State of Ohio maintaining another 14 miles of Township roads. There are over 150 acres of public lands and parks comprised of Lake Metroparks' Hogback Ridge, Arcola Creek, Hidden Valley, and Riverview Parks as well as Madison Township community parks.
The Madison Township community consists of; the Inline Skate Park on Hubbard Road; our three lake front parks consisting of Bill Stanton Community Park on Chapel Road, Tuttle Park on Tuttle Park Road, and Township Park on the corner of Hubbard and Lake Roads.
